Nazis appropriated skinhead culture in the 1980s, with their hatred and violence often making the news. With news articles almost exclusively covering boneheads (racist skinheads) people soon started to associate all skinheads with Nazis, even the antiracist ones, and the concept of all skinheads being Nazis has continued to this day. However, the skinhead subculture originated from the multi-racial Jamaican influence on the English working class. Because of this, one cannot be a true skinhead and also be racist. Joining RASH involves an interview portion, required reading, and a prospecting period. After these are complete, any new members must be voted in by existing members in their local chapter. The best way to meet us and get in touch with your chapter is to come to one of our events!

Congratulations on starting your difficult and fulfilling journey of rehabilitation. There are resources like Life After Hate available in the U.S. for those seeking to exit, or who have loved ones in need of help. Part of your journey involves taking a break from all types of political organizing and focusing on healing yourself. You will not be welcome in antifascist spaces, including R.A.S.H., until a minimum of several years after disengagement. However, you are welcome to reach out to us with any information regarding far-right organizing, to be used to keep people safe in the future and prevent further harm.
